….with every game. I thought this team might be special. They appear to have lost their fight.

Maybe things turn around when Key comes back, but, right now, they’re pretty average.

And we have had three big players out on our men's team, for most of the year. We have won 5 strait with injury's, maybe Pope isn't doing so bad now 😜
I'm curious if the women start losing, if Brooks will get the same s.hit as Pope. Coaching is usually, what are you doing for me now. Were not the most patient bunch of fans 😁

No, he won't. Most don't care about as women's basketball as much as men's. Just the truth.

No and he shouldn’t either. He’s proven in the past that he’s a great coach and made a final four at a non basketball school. Our women’s team has a history closer to UK football than UK basketball also so the expectations aren’t the same. Pope on the other hand is at the place with the most expectations in the country and really hadn’t done anything to deserve the job.

Plus, like mentioned, we just don’t care about women’s sports like we do the men’s. If they’re doing great then sure we follow it but if they start losing then it’s easy to just shrug and move on.
Speaking of women’s basketball is C Clark still alive? She was everywhere. Disappeared.
It’s the offseason for the WNBA. Plus she missed most of this last season with injuries.

I was afraid this was going to happen when she went down. We were beating teams with our height and good guard play and our bigs could all score. Now if Boone and Obi aren’t hitting Strack and Hassett are not going to be enough. Hassett has regressed and disappearers when it gets physical. We can play with anybody with key back, but struggle with good teams without her.

As I’ve said before, the UK Women are just too soft for the SEC. Aside from Strack and Morgan, physical play takes them out of the game. And Strack is having a tough time also lately.
Obi is not a good shooter, Boone has started missing her threes and Hassett is limited to taking unguarded threes. SEC teams have learned that we cannot handle physical play. Brooks may need to recruit stronger players.

You do realize this is year 2 in a MASSIVE rebuild of a historically awful program right? They are waaaay ahead of schedule. Woman's bball isnt like Mens bball and football, it takes a lot more time to build a power

Agree with this statement SEC is a physical league not a finesse league.. If you want to be competitive in this league better have players that can be physical also...

Be an *** all you want, but right now, they’re pretty average.

And by the way, they’re ranked 18 now, not 11th.

They’ve lost three in a row, and 4 out of six, so, yeah, right now they’re average.
