This is not Sumo wrestling with these stalls.

Shawver takes neutral yet doesn't shoot, brilliant.

The one thing I noticed about this team, they are very lazy at times especially off the whistle and other restarts/transitions. Its extremely frustrating and Shawver gave a reversal when it should have only been 1

Like watching paint dry with Rutgers. Every match no offense. Parkins much better than that guy and it takes him to OT to finally convert

Parkins isn't good. This kid he's wrestling is horrible and it's a 1-1 match. There's acclimating to college wrestling and just not good, this is not good.
Idk if thats fair to say. He has some swag and slickness, but definitely needs to get stronger/tougher both mentally and physically. If he mixed in a couple more direct attacks with his slickness i think he would improve a lot

If we're looking at him to be a future starter, he just wrestled a backup who's 4-9 most likely one of the worst 141 lbers in the B1G. That's not a match you can chalk up and say, yeah he's got future starter material written all over him. What Barbosa did last year in his 5 dates, yeah you could see it. Tell me the one match you've seen of him that gave you that same impression?

Parkins has a ton of skill, he is just way too undersized and weak for 141 this year.
And who in this program have we seen gain massive muscle over the last few years? We said the same last year about Smith and he looks exactly the same this year. Coaches knew he had to gain size and muscle, he knew he had to gain size and muscle, yet here we are. All the skill in the world getting overpowered.

Nice job by clark. Escaped with .01 seconds left in OT. Announcers very confused but obvious. Refs should have had .01 added to RT on TV.

All tied at 6-6

I am not arguing or totally disagreeing I am just saying I think he has a lot more skill than hes showing right now and hopefully he can figure some things out

Smith is too small and weak currently to really compete in the B1G

Now Ryan Ford? Holy fv*k. This kid has future starter written all over him.. Bumping up to take on the #25 ranked kid and killing him.

Ford looks great!

This kid should be in lineup every match.

Talk about obvious, at the end of last season, I called for Smith to spend the off-season building muscle mass. Did he? It isn't impossible. Time with a good trainer, correct nutrition, and supplements can do wonders with the right effort. It was an obvious need, yet have we seen any result?
Smith was about 115 soaking wet coming out of high school. Definitely progress but could 100% be further along

Joey Olivieri has won the Bloomsburg Open at 141 pounds in the 141B bracket. Ended his tournament 4-0, getting a fall, tech fall, tech fall and 4-2 decision wrestling unattached today.
Great but why isn’t he on the mat representing RU especially during dual season in B1Gs?
