It's cold there (-7) but they're not getting a blizzard (1-3" on Sun) and snow isn't starting there until Sun (it's Fri now). There's just no interest there.
Parkins better develop some offense bc he hasn’t shown crap in most of his matches.
He's concerning me. He looks very weak. He had a great Junior and Senior year in PA, but doesn't look like he's taking wrestling serious right now. Hope I'm wrong but he looks like place winner out there and not a 2x champ.

I hear that but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a match with fewer people unless they are somehow all packed outside the camera angle.
we complain about RU not living up to its potential on the mat. NW is a top school, beautiful campus, B1G, and close to major recruiting hotbeds yet can’t field a complete line up. WTF
There issues are resources because the school doesn’t care about wrestling and they have strict academic standards , Jason Tsirtis was national champ and his best friend and sister died in the span of 3 weeks and he took time off to mourn and they kicked him out of school for failing to live up to academic standards
I don’t understand the regression with Pinto… thought he had potential to jump lvls reuniting with Labriola… yeah…

Apparently Pinto had knee surgery 3 weeks ago and is just gutting it out and trying to work his way back
Cotton has been a pleasant surprise. He takes care of business when he’s the fav.. hopefully he can get a statement win against some of the higher ranked guys.
When Labriola was hired everyone was praising him when he helped “lure” Pinto here “the reunion!” but what is this from Pinto.. last week loses to guy he bonused last season and now getting bonused by 30/UR kid…I thought seniors were suppose to get better every year not this regression bs.
Ironically, he was your #1 pick to AA this year. He is definitely not trending in that direction.
I think it's safe to say that he was a lot of people pick to all american. Someone said he had knee surgery. If that's the case , why don't they medical redshirt him.
This sounds like a reasonable explanation but why not give him some time off or even consider RS year. I’m sure SG did the math on NW match why even send him out there.
I havent looked, has he taken a RS yet? And wouldnt it be too late for a RS at this time?
IMO this sounds like a very convenient excuse but if true, it seems extremely reckless to not give him some time off to heal and build his conditioning up. He has looked absolutely terrible and is a liability on the mat.

I was under the impression that if you wrestle 2nd semester you are no longer eligible for a medical redshirt but I could be wrong.

Illinois has like 75 fans there, we have thousands, they an equal or better program. it should not be this way not even close.
