UNC at #7 here compared to D1B's #11 and PG's #17. This does kind of align with my priors about BA ranking based on the draftability of college rosters, PG ranking based on high school ratings of those rosters, and D1B actually knowing what they're talking about.
Of the three, I feel that PG is probably the least accurate…as they are very invested in HS rankings, etc. And I would say the same thing if they were the poll that had us ranked the highest.
The question marks are absolutely with our lineup and offense…but the track record that Coach Forbes and Coach Wierzbicki have established in developing consistently good hitters makes me believe we will have a great offense yet again.
