Listen to the arrogance of this guy in the article. He doesn’t care about all of the kids in the 300+ school VHSL. He only cares about a handful of them. Not surprising though. The inmates are in full control and are running the asylum.

This going to be interesting. I think the hits all these public schools are getting from these private schools caused this. St. James is snagging kids left and right. The rules should be revised to a point where it’s like 1 transfer that’s it. You can’t do multiple

Transfers should be unlimited as long as you reside with your guardian in that district 51% of the time. IMO.

This is already happening kids picking the school system that they want to play at. Just look at petersburg basketball team this year. 5 players are not even from petersburg. 2 or three of them are from other states. So it's already a broken system.

“I’m still sort of grieving the situation, but I’m happy that Darren is in a much better place. And then prayerfully, you know, another child will not have to go through something like this,” Cain said.

Don't you love it when someone, the mom in this case, mentions a religious concept related to their very self centered situation? I doubt seriously that anything about this was prayerfully considered in advance. Like most transfer situations this was all about what this individual could get for themselves.

If this law/rule is passed, it will be Pandora's box if ever there was. Also, if anyone thinks what is happening at the college level these days is good for college athletics you are as sick as most of society. It definitely will create a "haves versus have not" culture.

Someone should start right now looking at states that have allowed such rules to exist and publish some numbers on the percentage of high schools that have dropped sports, particularly football, because they can no longer compete.
