The "precedent" as in one lone example you could find in the last decade?

Choosing the historically rare exception and trying to give it as much weight as the rule is probably not the best method to construct an argument.

I'm happy we won. I hope we keep winning. But for the most part this year we've sucked. It is possible to acknowledge that we want our team to keep winning while also being honest enough to say that they've sucked for the most part this year.

Your logic is twisted. Everything I said was factual up until that point. I'm glad that Johnson played a great game and he deserves credit for that. But for you to pretend that he hadn't played like absolute dog crap against good teams at the time that I posted that thread is flawed. Nothing I said was wrong or nonfactual.

Your criticism of him was unfair. The kid is a freshman and hadn’t logged significant minutes at that time (and still hasn’t). Name a freshman guard on any of Cal’s teams that came in and set the world on fire. Knight, Teague, Harrisons all had growing pains but somehow you expected Jasper to be in top form from day one.

I was in that same thread saying he was talented and needed more minutes. Didn't see you in there crying about those posts. So fans are only allowed to be positive, or Possum won't leave them alone? Got it.

That’s not the example you want to use, since we had quite a few that were pretty damn good right away.

One good game doesn’t make somebody suddenly good…Do you watch sports? Roleplayers go off for 20 all the time in the nba…
