Sadly, it would appear Jesse Marks is leaving Northwestern to go home to the University of Miami.
All of my interactions with Jesse were extremely positive. His work on the Lakeside field, the new Ryan field, and athletics at large speak for themselves. I can only hope his successor at NU is as effective as Jesse has been. Good luck to him at ‘The U’.

Somebody tell me if I care about this or not. Genuinely asking. He's only been in that role for like 8 months and with the department for 2.5 years.

We will forever be indebted to Marks and Goss…those two kept things together serving as the bridge between Gagg and Jackson.

Don’t forget about Schmidt!

That was Fitz’s smartest hire at MSU so far (Bajakian was the worst).

1000% on Schmidt. The Wildcat Fund could learn from Schmidt on how to engage with donors. The Wildcat Fund is an embarrassment when it comes to donor relations (at least at my level of donation). Schmidt on the other hand was all class-hand written notes, great gifts, answered emails without a form letter approach.

Schmidt going to MSU is easily the #1 staff loss I'm still sore about. Fortunately it seems like the major donors are stepping up this offseason regardless.
