We'll see next year that the SEC will have 13 teams in the preseason Top 25 and the the Big 10 will 6 or 7 like every other year. Then they will all still be ranked at the end of the year and the Big 10 win dominate them again in the bowl/playoff season. No doubt about it.
Doubtful. The CFP committe and ESPN will just put 6 or 7 SEC teams in.Should get the benefit of the doubt come playoff time next year.
It’s like getting a trophy or medal given to you by the actual person who won itEven though the Huskers haven't had much input onto the recent B1G success, it's nice to be able to be associated with the winning.
Funny you say this...ESPN just had a story on their website of "Way too early 2026 rankings".They're still going to somehow put like 12 sec teams in the top 25 preseason polls.
Yep. With NIL, the SEC isn’t the only one paying their players now. Now you can go elsewhere and make as much. The new playing field has hurt the SEC.WHen Nebraska was great I used to make fun of my Kentucky buddy who bragged about the SEC. Conference bragging was lame to me.
Now? What else we got? Hehe…. I’ll take it. Once everyone was allowed to pay athletes, amazing how the SEC National Titles seemed to dry up a bit.

OuchIs this what it felt like to be an Iowa State football fan back when Nebraska and Oklahoma were winning National titles in the Big 8 days?
It is why that crybaby (but still funny guy) Saban quit. I don't blame him either, dude had it made for 10 years at Bama when those boosters decided to go "all in" with buying players. Not that it wasn't happening before, we know it was, they just took it to a new level.Yep. With NIL, the SEC isn’t the only one paying their players now. Now you can go elsewhere and make as much. Interesting thought. I don't think you are saying this, but did Indiana buy a natty? It is why that crybaby (but still funny guy) Saban quit. Well, that level is gone. Now you have 30ish teams that can win and that will spend money. If Buffett wasn't such a dork with his money he could put NU in the top 10 each year.
Coaching matters.Who tf cares. We arent a part of said greatness. I dont give two f's if the B1G hoists the crown if it isnt Nebraska. And seeing as how Nebraska is clearly never winning one again, I genuinely dont care if the B1G never wins another title.
Just proving a point. Certain posters on here yapping about how great the SEC and Big 12 are is just comical. I'll let you figure out who they are.Who tf cares. We arent a part of said greatness. I admit im a bit skeptical of Indianas run. I have a hard time believing Cignetti just figured out the game of football in a way no one else has. But I may be underselling the talent level they had. On paper it wasnt much, but they sure played great. Who knows. Maybe 10 yeads from now it turns out that roster was filled with pro bowl talent. We shall see.Coaching matters.
The stars just aren't aligned in Lincoln.
Fair enough. The last thing I want for us is to become the modern South Carolina fan. Claiming we've achieved something because one of our conference foes won the title. Meanwhile they rode the bottom half of the SEC rankings for two decades.Just proving a point. Certain posters on here yapping about how great the SEC and Big 12 are is just comical. The one good thing about NIL, Playoff and the portal is everyone gets a shot. No more Bama vs Georgia every fvcking year. The old days of the $EC running the show are over.Keep your eye on the preseason power index. Last year there SEC had 13 teams in the top 25

Does the SEC remain on top? Will Boise State revisit the CFP? Here's what stands out from ESPN's latest data.www.espn.com
Here is a link to the Top 20... 11 teams in the Top 20. That conference and ESPN can perform fellacio on my genitalia, because I am so tired of hearing how tough their conference is.
