This is great for college football. Tired of OSU, Georgia and Bama every year it seems. Cinderella is normally reserved for bball (GBR), it’s great to see it in football.

Having been to the ‘02 Rose Bowl and putting up with Miami fans, I’m not sure if I’m happier for Indiana fans are more pleased with Miami going down.

When Cignetti came on the scene with his ‘google me’ blurb, I thought the guy was a narcissist and thought you’ll never win at Indiana. Now he gets the last laugh. I salute the guy. I wish Nebraska could get a guy like him who knows how to put a great team together.

Agree. In the postgame interview - Just hearing him talk about the things they instilled this week, how they adapted during the game… and then expected certain schemes from Miami. What a breath of fresh air.

Great game.

College football, however is in a state of rot. The inertia of a once great thing won't sustain the thing forever.

Ever seen Idiocracy? We're about 10 years from the St. God's Brawndo Bowl brought to you by Carl's Jr.

The best thing about Indiana winning is that when we beat them next year, we can say that we beat the defending national champions.

When Chekhov saw the long winter, he saw a winter bleak and dark and bereft of hope. Yet we know that winter is just another step in the cycle of life. But standing here among the people of Indiana and basking in the warmth of their hearths and hearts, I couldn't imagine a better fate than a long and lustrous winter.

You can only have a team prepared if ALL of the players are prepared. Including the 2nd team. And to do that, you must know your own scheme inside and out. And to do that, you have to have great teachers. And a simple scheme. Anyone who argues any of that has never worked with college athletes.

I'm sure Indiana does all of that. That was a signature of the Nebraska teams of old.

Fun game to watch. Almost every person on both teams would be an upgrade over what we have.....not just limited to guys wearing numbers

I really like Cignetti as a coach. I don't like the landscape of college football right now. The rules or lack of rules in college football is what has allowed Indiana to win this national championship.

Two years ago I thought Cignetti was a clown. Right now I think he's clearly the best coach in college football, and second place isn't close. I will say that I'm now convinced that having a pet billionaire is the single biggest factor in winning, but he's still the best regardless.

Cig made a comment postgame that their NIL isn’t anywhere close to what’s being reported. Wish we could have transparency.

We pay way more than indiana does on football.

Their quarterback may have won the Heisman but they did this by running the football and playing aggressive, hard hitting, sure tackling defense. The RPO is an option. So they have their wrinkle.
