If you had to introduce yourself as a coach for the the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers and endure 30 seconds of straight laughter from every person you meet outside the state of Nebraska, you would probably consider a change as well.
I'm off Rhule's bandwagon for sure. But to be fair I don't recall him throwing the coaches he parted ways with under the bus except for Butler. Maybe he did and I just forgot. But I think he said the right things about White and Porkchop, I haven't heard him say a peep about Raiola or Foley (yes, Foley is his buddy). You could tell he is pissed Ekeler is considering leaving, but was evenhanded about it on the radio Friday. Butler broke one of Rhule's Commandments, which was publicly saying the players aren't good enough, so yeah, Matt bagged on him pretty good. It’s not like Matt Rhule inspires any kind of loyalty out of his coaches. The guy fires his staff every year.
I mean, even before everything was money driven, who would want to coach with someone who will on all likelihood throw you under the bus when the blowouts start happening and then fire you.
All while saying what a wonderful human being you are.
Who you watching that is getting laid? I think I’d watch some of what you’re watching. Its ok ..I don't care about sports anymore OP.
No honor at all anymore
There is no joy in watching people get laid to suck

These are the types of resumes I put in the delete folder and don’t even interview. If they have always left in 1-2 years, they’ll likely do the same to me and leads to many other questions about them.Looking at this list of his coaching stops, it shouldn't surprise anyone that he's leaving.
2008–2010 Nebraska (LB) 2011–2012 Indiana (co-DC/LB) 2013 USC (LB) 2014–2015 Georgia (ILB/DSTC) 2016 North Texas (DC/LB) 2017–2018 North Carolina (LB) 2019 Kansas (STC/ILB) 2020 North Texas (STC) 2021–2024 Tennessee (OLB/STC) 2025 Nebraska (STC) 2026-present USC (STC - pending)
we will see if rhule can maintain special teams level....alot of time a special teams coach with brains can have decent special teams. These are the types of resumes I put in the delete folder and don’t even interview. If they have always left in 1-2 years, they’ll likely do the same to me and leads to many other questions about them.
Ha, so you don't interview the guy that is considered to be the very best at his position? These are the types of resumes I put in the delete folder and don’t even interview. If they have always left in 1-2 years, they’ll likely do the same to me and leads to many other questions about them.
No idea why anyone would want to live in that cesspool state.Renting a 26' UHaul from San Bernardino to Omaha costs $4,692. Renting a 26' UHaul from Omaha to San Bernardino costs $2933 ($1760 less). That is if you can find a truck rental company in SoCal without a month or more wait. After 36 years in SoCal we couldn't wait to get the hell out for many reasons.
I mean, it is just for the weather, right? No idea why anyone would want to live in that cesspool state.
i feel sorry for the people that live in small communities and rural areas those people have no say because of no voting blockNo idea why anyone would want to live in that cesspool state.
I know I'm a cranky old man...but MONEY and the "ME culture" has ruined college sports. Gone are the days of any kind of team/university loyalty.
Not just players...coaching has definitely turned into a money based system. No coach or player does it for any motivation except $$$$$$ .
I guess it is just disappointing that Mike Ekeler ...a Nebraska guy....isn't motivated by his "god" status here in Nebraska enough to stay here in Nebraska.who needed an extension to his co
Well somebody needs to tell our players they just aren't good enough. We are smaller, slower and less athetic than most teams in the B1G. And we aren't even close. So, stop telling these kids they are good enough to compete because we clearly are not.I'm off Rhule's bandwagon for sure. But to be fair I don't recall him throwing the coaches he parted ways with under the bus except for Butler. Maybe he did and I just forgot. Sadly I think this is true. There is just way too much money at stake and the powers that be at UNL have made it clear that mediocrity is fine so long as the fans keep filling the seats and donations keep coming.I will be surprised if Rhule is canned next year. Even with a 5 win or less season
they need check points so they don't let libs leave california and infect other states. No idea why anyone would want to live in that cesspool state.
interesting take on Ekeler leaving from some NU insiders. Looks like he's kind of being forced out.
Did you even read what I posted? I'm not blaming Ekeler for anything other then doing what every other player and coach is doing .what the man who makes $8.5 MM demanding an extension or he wouldn’t honor his contract didn’t do it for ya? an extension he has yet to earn
blame Ekeler all you want be the man doesn’t make Matt Rhule money. Not even close. The man isn’t guaranteed $90MM.
I don’t blame coach eke at all. It sucks. But I don’t blame him
he ain’t the fat pig we should roast
So you’re Fed-Up?Did you even read what I posted? I'm not blaming Ekeler for anything other then doing what every other player and coach is doing .
Rhule is an ineffective and worthless coach. What I AM saying is that money (and the quest for money) has ruined college football both with players and coaches.
Another slow day on the Iowa board I take it. You do have a message board right? If you had to introduce yourself as a coach for the the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers and endure 30 seconds of straight laughter from every person you meet outside the state of Nebraska, you would probably consider a change as well.
Nothing official. But according to Sean Callahan, Ekeler’s office at Nebraska has been cleared out and his name removed from the door.Anything official on this yet?
I expect the staff tells players all the time they aren't good enough, which is why many of them I've never heard of enter the portal. What pissed Rhule off was Butler said it publicly. Yes, our players are now pro football players, but I still don't think any coach should bag on their talent to the media.Well somebody needs to tell our players they just aren't good enough. We are smaller, slower and less athetic than most teams in the B1G. And we aren't even close. So, stop telling these kids they are good enough to compete because we clearly are not.
Remember the offseason when the O-line thought they would win the Joe Moore award? Laughable. Somebody blew smoke up their a**es. Stop babysitting these little boys and turn them into men already. Put in the work.
Sorry man. Yeah it’s the Wild West right now. Regulation is neededDid you even read what I posted? I'm not blaming Ekeler for anything other then doing what every other player and coach is doing .
