Michigan has kinda regressed. Probably still the best team in the conference, but they’re not winning as big as they were.

I watched their entire game vs Washington a few nights ago. We would have won comfortably.

We should move up to #6 in the country on Monday.
This is big for two reasons if they do. It will be the highest Nebraska has ever been ranked and better yet for you jayskers that act like you are a Nebraska fan now. That rank will be one spot higher than the Jay's best ranking ever too. Must be a rough season for you jackasses that cheer for the Big Red in the fall and put on your sweater vests in the winter.

I hope they make it to the final four just to shut you dumb asses up

Fred doing some load management with Mast and even Lawrence today. That’s another reason this team is really good. In the past, two of the best players sitting for this long would have been met with whining about not getting their stats. But these guys do not care - at all.
I said it earlier but I keep marveling at the contributions from Jacobson. He had one drive when the game was close where he took to the rim with his left hand and just laid in an under control soft layup. He just doesn’t look like he should be able to do that.

We have a long season left before we even think about the final 4.

Let’s start by winning that first round game in the tournament, no reason why we should look beyond that.

Sweet 16 would be epic.

See... the point is to make it further then them. I, like you am enjoying the ride, but Creighton fans somehow think they are superior and nothing would make me happier then to watch us beat everything they have ever done.

I know they are all scared too, because this year they know it is possible

He plays well beyond what he should be able to. He has developed so well. When the game is getting chaotic, he comes in and restores composure and fundamentals

I never want to see anyone get hurt, but Jacobson is a better fit for this team than Essegian. NU has other guys who can shoot, but needs guys who play D and rebound.

Many cheer for both in the winter.

yeah, i don't think essegian would be playing much. last year, we needed his offense, but we really don't with this team. I like how we can score no matter what who we have out there. Frager has added so much.

First time I’ve seen a women basketball official in a Men’s game.
It's been done before.

I don't ref basketball, but I do ref high school football and am a "Crew Chief". I am old dude.

My back judge is 32 years old, played college ball, is faster than most college kids (and EVERY high school kid on the field).

But he is male and white. He will be in D3 for 5 more years while we watch ----- ---- in the Big Ten every week. These officials haven't even worked more than 3 years in high school before they are promoted to the MAC or Big Ten.

I am no longer angry, just sad for my guy and laugh about how they rely on video review to make a call because the official didn't know the rule or just made a horrible call

I said at the time that I didn’t think Essigian would really be missed. Feel bad that the kid got hurt, but other guys have stepped up.

Tip of the hat once again to Husker nation. Significant number of the nation at the game giving their love to our BB team.
I went to the game and actually felt sorry for Northwestern fans. No homecourt advantage at all. And absolutely zero to cheer about. GBR

And to add on, the big 2nd half run was made without Mast and Lawrence on the floor. Jacobsen and Frager with another quality all around performance, and Fred stayed with it.

Yeah I think Fred orginally sat Mast and Lawrence just before the under 12:00 timeout, trying to buy them a couple of extra minutes of rest. But the group on the floor extended the lead, so he stuck with them. Good on Fred for doing that, instead of clinging to his rotation plan like it's etched in stone. Way too many coaches do exactly that.
