What?!?!?! We’ve been told by 95% of the posters here that a GM was mandatory to improvements and being relevant nowadays. Don’t believe it? Just search GM and take a loom

One of the headlines mentioned "financial transactions being scrutinized". Sounds a bit ominous.

Dan, have you heard anything about this? I know there were rumors about some questionable methods of compensation to players last year. Pitino says Abdelmassih handles "everything" related to what players are paid, negotiations and how those payments are made. Of course he knows nothing. lol He also made it clear that this was not his decision.

The only thing I know, (told to me last year by two separate media guys who cover SJU) was that Richmond was given NIL money and gifts of almost $2M. Each told me everyone at SJU's is aware of it. The money was about $1.3M or so (that I knew from my own contacts), but there were other 'additions' adding to the total to get it to nearly $2M.

Best I don't post what those additions were.

They literally won the regular season Big East title and the Big East Tournament, dominating both. Went 18-2 to win the Conference by 3 full games and barely broke a sweat in the BET winning the 3 games by 21, 16 & 16 points.
Exactly. Outright BE RS + BET champions count for something. Was over 25+ years since each.

While I get the NCAAT flameout that season gave their fans so many moments and much to enjoy and remember for a change.
