Yes it's no coincidence that the program turned around right after Matt left. He was a scumbag. When he left he **** all over Nebraska and our fans, and basically said he did a great job but that it's impossible to win here and our fans didn't appreciate how hard it is to recruit here. Love seeing him eat his words this season.

He had that persona of being the quintessential "bag man" when it came to recruiting players. Sorta like having he mafia on staff.

Of course after Rick's deal at Kentucky, they could have followed that up with "you know the kind of things we are talking about".
