NU may still have some bad nights in conference play, but those early quad 1 wins are like seeding insurance for the tourney. It's still early, but they play with a consistent intensity that the top flight teams have.
They can go .500 the rest of the way and still get a nice seed.
I checked those rankings and didn't see the jays.

Slowly but surely, was hoping to be a little higher but can’t argue with the 7 in front of us.
Should be higher until we lose.
Enjoying the ride and looking forward to the next one. Also enjoying the fact that Nebraska's success is pissing off all the right people.
NET ranking is still Jays-friendly though - still has them at 47. Eye test says that's too high, but it's good for the Huskers' strength of schedule.

Good way to approach it, but after the wins at Ohio State and Indiana, I'm on the hype train.
I’m with Scarlet on this one. One game at a time. There are some tough games ahead and it’s easy to hit a skid. It’s a long season and this team has established itself as a hunted team. Northwestern on the road won’t be easy.
I don't think this team is one of the 2 best teams in the country, but If I'm the AP i put them at #1 or #2 right now. They've earned that ranking as of now IMO.
You wouldn't think so, but Purdue lost at home by 20+ to Iowa State and they're ahead of NU.
I'm guessing Iowa State doesn't fall all that far. It's hard to drop them below Purdue, when they went into West Lafayette and absolutely s*** stomped the Mighty Floppers.

My wife went to Creighton and couldn't understand why I never support Creighton when they aren't playing NU. I would say F Creighton. Now that NU is good she says F NU and I tell her to keep saying it because it seems to be helping.

Huskers' strength-of-schedule getting no help from K-State, which dropped to 0-4 in Big 12 play.
Remember when that insufferable blowhard K-State fan who used to live on this board assured us that Chris Klieman and Jerome Tang would be in Manhattan forever and ever and ever?
I figured Tang would do like every other K-State BB coach, and skip town as soon as a better job opened up. But now it looks like he will get canned.
