It should be Tomlin’s last game as a Steeler too. They cant take these wildcard losses forever.

Hall of Famer, but he has nothing left. It’s over he’s cooked.
Hope not. I love what he's done for us this year. He has no weapons to work with whatsoever. He's playing left handed. When DK is the best you got and you can't trust his hands it's super hard.

Last week our best WRs was

Scanlon, Theilin, and Austin. None of those guys are even legit 3rd WRs. If we aren't going to get him weapons yeah he should go. If I'm Minnesota I'd be all over hin in FA.
He's fine with weapons without he LOOKS cooked

They've already taken them forever.

Tonight, it seriously looked like Stroud was on the take and looking to throw the game.

Except Pittsburgh wasn't good enough to ever actually take advantage of it.

I like Stroud. He seems to be a good kid, can throw darts, but dang, try to just catch the snap, and sometimes eat the ball. Next game is going to be much tougher. Love Texans head coach, Ryan’s. Great D. Go Texans!!!

Well the important thing is we can hang a banner for a non-losing season. The standard is the standard after all. Sigh. I'm going to watch some 2000s Steelers highlights to cheer myself up lol.

He exceeded my expectations this season, which were really low to he fair... but last nite was brutal. If he does come back I hope its to a better team. Buuut, its probably time.

I ALMOST felt sorry for him. His O line was trash. I said it when Kenny Pickett was there. The Steeler QB has no chance until they fix their O line. Rodgers can still play but I still don’t like the guy. That game wasn’t on him.

Rodgers didn’t cost you the game. His turnovers were forced by Texas. He still has it. Didn’t think he would play as well as he did down the stretch. Still has the arm and above average mobility.

I despise Rodgers but none of that last night was on him. All of the turnovers were forced. Hate his whining to the refs but the guy is still one of the best QBs in the NFL.

I get the little brother hate Bears fans have. But there isn’t a quarterback left in the playoffs that have done anything.
Is have "that have done anything" or "that has done anything"

I feel like both sound wrong?

Steelers fan.

This was always going to be the outcome.

IDK why Rodgers would want to come back. Watching our left tackle get trucked and demolish Rodgers was his sign, lol.

Thank you for being better than Russell Wilson, Rodgers. Enjoy retirement.

Makes me wonder if Tomlin (who I love) might also decide to retire?

I haven't been able to follow nfl very close since Big Ben retired. That being said, Tomlin is only 53. I could see a mutual parting of ways at some point, but its extremely unlikely he gets fired or he retires.

He was really young when he became Steelers head coach.

I remember there were (insane) rumors that he might be the coach at NU years ago, just water cooler talk of course but that would have been amazing.

The NFL is so short on good quarterback talent that you have to go all in on guys with very little chance of doing anything significant. He could come back next year and you’d still be on the line as to whether you’re in the playoffs or not. No honest person thinks he can take them on a run to the Super Bowl. He’s just better and more savvy than all of the other scrubs.

Without Big Ben he's the Bo Pelini of the NFL. A lot of meaningless wins.

one could say that. I guess I've always looked at it a bit different. Do we remember what coaches who had franchise QBs have done AFTER their guy retired. Guys who lost Brady, Brees, both Mannings, Rivers etc? If they didn't have another franchise guy waiting they basically started losing and got fires. Relative to other coaches who had a franchise guy he's probably been the best. He's taken teams to the playoffs with Mason Rudolph, Mitchell trubiky, Kenny Pickett, Justin Fields, A shot Russ Wilson , and now with a 42 yr old that everyone says is washed as well. Yes they've lost those games but in most cases they were deserved to. Imo it was a case of teams that were dragged to the playoffs who probably wasn't talented enough to be there in the first place.

as a Steelers fan I'll always give the man props for that. I also was ready to move on but our fans need to realize when that puts goes away we likely won't get that with the next guy and a fresh start. Hopefully tthat trade off gives more upside. The rooneys are batting 1000. Hopefully they get it right. But u never know....

The Steelers offensive line is actually decent now. The Texans have the best defense in the league and played at it's highest level Monday night.
