2001 Miami is probably the best team ever
2019 LSU beat 5 teams in the final top 10 and 6 in the top #14.
2001 Miami beat only one team in the final top 10 ( #8 Nebraska) and needed decisive plays late in the 4thQ to beat Boston College and Virginia Tech.

I’d argue you that 2019 LSU had the better team.

And who have you beat, nobody. In fact, aren’t you one of the few Big Ten teams to lose a bowl game. You are not relevant in college football.
Enjoy your moment in the sun while you can. It's not likely to be sustainable. And while you're here, what was the final score of the basketball game today? I turned it off when you guys were up by 16. I assume you won, but I never heard the final score.

What does this have to do with Nebraska?
Unless you want to compare yourself with arguably the 2 of the best teams in college football history 1971 and 1995 Nebraska national champions

I actually think 2020 Alabama was even better than the 2019 LSU team. But it was a covid-shortened year so they played fewer games. 2001 Miami was the deepest and most talented team overall. 1995 Nebraska had the most dominating season.

No, they are not. They had 2 games in which the won by less than 14 points. They also played a weaker schedule than the 1995 Husker team. I challenge you to show me the 1995 Husker team's schedule and results and argue how they aren't the best ever.

2019 LSU had a close call vs Texas early in the season.

I’m very well aware of the game against Texass in Austin 45-38.
Similar to Nebraska closest game early in the season against Washington St.
Washington State wasn't that close. Had a 35-7 lead in the 4th quarter and they scored a couple TD's late in the game to make it 35-21.

If Indy wins it all they should have * next to signifying the nil and transfer portal era! IMO they wouldn’t be in my top 7 of all time great teams.
Would be more likely to have an * next the every NC team pre-playoffs. Future generations will shake their heads in disbelief that in the pre-playoff system, teams were evaluated by human opinion - not only in the pre-season or during the season - but also in selecting a national champion. Some years have 4 different teams!

Nebraska in 95 was as close as any in this old system to emulate a playoff, as they beat several teams that ended up in the top 10. But that will unfortunately fade.

I’ll give you an example what did the 1971 undisputed Nebraska team have to prove they beat #2,#3 and #4 teams in the country at years end. Michigan lost to 9-3 Stanford in the Rose. Penn St lost by 3 TD to Tennessee last regular season game. Auburn was blown out by OU in the Sugar.

There isn’t 4 team every year, it was the AP poll and the Coaches poll (UPI)

Lots of rumors going around that IU is cheating even worse than Michigan, supposedly they hacked into other school signals and play calls and com system

It's a very good team. I'm more comfortable calling this one of the best coaching jobs in history (if not best) than best team ever, though.
