We’re 14-2 and won three league games in a row-2. With all due respect to GW and Patrick, their status is the last thing on my mind right now.
But at some point there will be a need for situational minutes for needed size in specific game situations and matchups. I also feel Hines should have been a deadball defensive sub last 3 min for rebounding purposes tonight.

Goodswill has done that a little bit before tonight, mostly because of foul trouble.

Dar was definitely a spark and he's very athletic leading to good defense & good hop, offensive skills seem limited from what we've seen

Despite a good but expected win at Georgetown tonight, only four points from our centers.
They only took 7 shots between them. a couple of Hines' 5 shots were missed put backs of Offensive rebounds. The kind of shots that had been ging in for him. They had 12 rebounds, 6 each. From what I could see, first half, we got out positioned on defensive rebounds and allowed G 'Town too many second chances. G'town had 14 Offensive boards (as did we). Their big guy gave us fits first half. Surprising to me, we outrebounded them for the game, 41-38. Gritty.

Someone on said on here a month ago that Rivera wasn’t a Big East player. And I think others may have agreed.
Tough as nails. Those people couldn’t have been more wrong. His first game in blue and white was a disaster, rightly so, given the injury rust. Second game was the one you could tell that he was going to be able to hang. Now, I think he has surprised all of us given that he’s doing more than just hanging. He is a vital part of this team and he brings a certain level of toughness and hustle that is hard to match.

Same experts thought Mamu wasn’t a big east player. Just the fact Coach was playing him told me everything I needed to know. Had to be doing things in practice to get playing time likewise Godswill is probably not, but he’s a good insurance policy anyway you look at it.

I was definitely one that thought he looked too slow and plodding for the BE. Glad to eat those words as he's been a good role player for the team, making a difference these past 4 games.

This is pretty remarkable turnaround with Rivera:

First 9 games: 7 MPG, 1.8 RPG, 1.1 PPG
Last 4 games: 18 MPG, 3 RPG, 8.3 PPG

Yesterday may've been the worst overall game for the center position this season: 40 minutes, 1/7 FG, 2/4 FG, 11 rebounds but I also think Godswill would've gotten eaten up by either Halaifonua or Iwuchukwu.

Also nutty how Payne will often miss both FT or hit both FT.

Very early in the preseason sight unseen I posted from what I was being told he looked like a player that had the ability to start at the 4. Needless to say that was met with just a 'little' bit of sarcasm. But he did look decent in the Blue/White scrimmage before he was injured and missed time.

Now he's in the rotation just where he belongs, coming off the bench to add toughness and interior physicality.

Might be a redshirt year for Godswill. Needs to put on significant weight, muscle and strength to bang with BE centers.

If he can hit the open 3 like that it will open up his drives and other players. Career he’s 30%. Not terrible for a 4. Reminds me of Ish Sonogo and his late career offensive emergence.
