I think he may take care of the ball better than Joe. Ganz was a gutsy player. I think this kid may have more talent. I’ve watched him a little bit and liked his athleticism. We’ll see. He has to beat out Lateef first.
You’re probably right about that. I just hope he can elevate other players around him. Can’t say we’ve had a QB like that since at least Armstrong.

I'd take Gerry Gdowski at this point. The 60 y/o one would work.
Gdowski would be great. Tom has said that not starting Gdowski a year earlier might have been the biggest mistake he made as a head coach. So much of a QB’s path is just getting a chance. Ole Lisa’s Chambliss was a backup until the starter got injured.

Minchey appeared to have one hell of an arm. TBD in live action. But the kids arm is incredibly impressive. So I was excited at the prospect.

That said unless the o line makes massive strides, this is probably the better prospect. Minchey could run a bit, but this kid is a bit more froggy. And he'll likely need to be. Hopefully that frame can hold up...

Honestly I don't think its close. One kid couldn't start and the other was the conference player of the year. Nebraska needs these types of kids in the locker room and on the field right now.

One was also at UNLV while the other was at Notre Dame. Look at Minchey's HS tape. The kid has a legit arm.

His lack of college experience compared to Colandrea obviously makes this a plus addition in that regard. I'm just always going to be nervous about a listed 6 foot QB who scrambles and improvises that much surviving a B1G season.

And don't use Manziel as an example. He clearly could not feel pain with whatever he was on.

I don't care. One has done it on the field in D1 football and the other held a clipboard. Remind me where the Ole Miss QB played last year.....

Hopefully he actually signs instead of his agent saying he signed then use that as leverage to get more money from another school

His highlights are super fun to watch. Iffy and dangerous arm but he can definitely scoot. I wonder how much he’s making?
