I believe recent schedules were released in early to mid-December, so yah, this is pretty late. Maybe that ONE game, involving Notre Dame of course, has been holding things up for the entire conference. BIG schools should be banned from ever scheduling ND in football. They wanna be special, treat 'em special.

They could have set the Big 10 schedule a month ago for 2026 and told ND to find a weekend where they could play USC, like August or USC's bye week, on if USC is not in the Big Champ game which they probably will not be soon then a night game after army-navy game

Do you even know ball? If Kirk doesn't get to the playoffs with this schedule, he never will.
Predictions - guesses - in the 7/8 range are reasonable based on KF’s track record but even that is highly speculative with an uncertain, possibly inexperienced, brand new QB and relatively inexperienced LB unit.

For me - 9 months away from the opener - you start with a 8-4 pre-season probability and then adjust expectations up or down as you learn more about the team (and opponents) through Spring practice and Fall camp. Absent key injuries, I tend to lean optimistic. I predicted 9-3 last year.

“this schedule” — everybody predicted an Indiana win until it wasn’t. The transfer portal has changed everything. Predicting sure wins before rosters are set is foolish IMO.

I'm interested to see if Nebraska stays on Black Friday. There's been talk that's coming to an end. I also want to know when we're playing OSU. Will it be as early as week 5 or sometime in November?

Need to go at least 10-2 with next year's weak schedule.
Do we need to educate you again?

Or, conversely, would you like to wager any amount you care to on Iowa being 12-0, 11-1, or 10-2 next year?

I'm on the under 10 wins even up.

You are clearly out of your mind.
This board is bipolar. Every year they freak out after the 3rd loss. It's obvious we want to go to the CFP. The B1G is giving us f*cking lob balls with that schedule. Then we have people sit around saying "THAT'S UNOBTAINABLE!" It is obtainable. It should be at least. That schedule is weak.

If we can't produce 10 wins with that schedule our staff is a joke and we need to move on.

The delay is screwing up travel plans. When to get hotel rooms, when your friends can make it, good weekend for a road game, etc. The Big Ten has dropped the ball on this one.

At Illinois will probably be a tough game but I think they will have a new QB.

Ohio St, at Mich, and at Washington are probably losses or at least Iowa wont be favored. There is a possibility off of recent performance and teams that we will lose these 4 games. So I am going with 8-4 right now. Wash has a fast dynamic QB, Mich has a great and tough new coach and is loaded with talent I am sure, and OSU will be stacked, even Jeremiah Smith will be back as he has only played two years

Anyone hearing any rumors on when we will get this info? I’d like to plan a couple fall events and just sitting here twiddling my thumbs.
I guess USC and Notre Dame have held all of this up. Last year iirc it was released the week of the B1G championship game..

Michigan has a real head coach again, as always they will have lots of talent. Washington at home will probably be favored, OSU is a loss. 10-2 would be overachieving but possible. O LINE MAY DROP OFF SOME, hecklinski may take time to get experience. 3-4 losses are very possible.

I share tickets and I’d like to know the dates so we can pick our games and schedule fall weekends.

He's 66. I really think he wanted to retire, but couldn't turn down the offer. It's still a huge transition to move across the country, scout totally new schedule, develop new recruiting ties, at that age. I think Michigan football is in a bad place right now, and they hired Wittingham to get the culture back, but he and they both know it's not the long term plan. I don't see Michigan back in the college football playoffs anytime soon.

He’s a really good coach. Sharon Moore to Willingham is like going from Rich Kotite to Vince Lombardi

Just for posterity's sake, the official Clown account confirms we play them on 9/12.
