Do we have any shot at JACOB EASON

I thought we had our QB for this class.

Do we have any shot at JACOB EASON

Doubt it. Last I heard, he was planning to enroll early @ Georgia. But you've got to wonder how he'll react to the uncertainty.

Ot: Ricketts say no to refugees

Hmmm. So we should have a religious test for determining what refugees we allow in? I'm a Bible-thumping Christian and that's not the way we do things. BTW--all of the terrorists identified so far are European nationals. Look, I can understand that everyone is afraid. There's good reason...

List of and Best Nebraska Breweries

Nebraska Life magazine just published a fine article about Nebraska breweries. If you don't subscribe, you're missing out. Out this way, Portland is to beer what Seattle is to coffee (and now micro-distilleries). Seems like there's a micro-brewery on every corner in Portland.

    Let's not forget.....

We were back in Lincoln for the USC game a few years ago, when the Trojans totally mauled the Huskers. Cosgrove was quoted as having told the players that it was all on them. Lost all respect for him at that point.

    OT: Ending to Movies

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas--unforgettable ending. Gallipoli will leave you weeping, too--and I don't care how macho you might think you are. On the brighter side--King of Hearts. The ending of Whiplash totally fascinates me. Wonder what that kid was thinking about his "teacher" at...

ConAgra...I did not see that coming.

Same questions we asked up here when Boeing moved its corporate offices to Chicago from Seattle. We expect there to be some logic to a major decision like that--ain't necessarily so. Could just be a personal preference by the new CEO. But--Much bigger airport. Better access to other major...

BYU DB dirty hit on Sutton

You never wish an injury on your opponent, but.....Wasn't Preator, the BYU kid who did it to Sutton, sitting on the bench with an ice bag on his knee later in the game? Perhaps there is such a thing as karma.

    Washington state Husker fans

Look for some Husker greats at the Lucky 7. Ken Geddes (and wife Carol) and Pat Morrell (and wife Deb) are usually there. Other former Husker players show up from time to time. My wife and are usually @ Lucky 7, too, but can't make it tomorrow. GBR!

    1962 it was....

I remember watching the Gotham Bowl. Newspaper strike in NYC. No one in the stands. Snow flurries. Cold. George Mira was the Miami QB. Huskers won 38-36--if my memory serves me. No one foresaw what was to come from that beginning......To the Bobfather!

Another Nebraskan doing well in the majors

We saw him up here in Seattle recently, and he looked very tough against the Mariners. (But almost everyone looks good against the Mariners these days). Wish I had known then that he's a Nebraska kid.

More Ameer always a good thing!

Googled Ameer Abdullah to check his stats from the Lions 1st pre-season game. Google offered "Ameer Abdullah girlfriend." Suggest you check it out. Good for him!

Toronto, NY and Houston and Bull pen

Love what the Blue Jays did at the trade deadline. I think they'll pass the Yankees. Our poor ol' Mariners are starting to look like the team they thought they were at the start of the season. Too little too late. Is Alex Gordon back yet? Royals will be tough if he can get back to normal by...

    LaVonte David just got paid

Hope he remembers good ol' NU like Suh has? (And we all do, right?)

    Andra Franklin

Great player. Anyone know where he's at now and what he's done since college?
