    Current Bowl Possibilities

There is no good reason they should wait for the big ten bowl games. The sole reason would be that the big ten is set but the opponents in these games aren't since we don't know how many acc or sec teams are in the playoffs. However, announcing the big ten teams now would allow fans the most...

    Current Bowl Possibilities

If they make the CFP QFs at home sites the conf champ games will have more meaning again. Wetzel just did a whole thing on this. Since this preserves the most $ seems like the most likely change.

Rutgers Greed: Not letting water bottles in

Michigan doesn't allow anything brought in, but they have free hydration stations on the concourse where they give out plastic cups of water. Even at very big games, the hydration stations have no wait and tons of cups of water in the table to take. If Rutgers wants to not allow water in, this...

How many home games (if any) will Rutgers sell out this year?

Don't underestimate that Washington will likely bring a large contingent of fans. Having a known game time for that is helpful for such travel as well.

Did we just haul in almost 59MM?

A slight improvement from the $10 million annual distribution from the Big East circa 2010.

Football Rutgers Football games versus USC, Washington both moved to Friday night

Apparently Fox has World Series as a lead in to Rutgers/USC so thats why the really late kickoff. Could get a huge TV number. Start time sucks though for many reasons.

Rutgers got $58M from BiG in 2023; a conference which lost money

Do we want Ohio state to lose?

The correct answer is, if just thinking solely about the Rutgers-Ohio State game, I believe it would be best if Ohio State lost both of their next two games. Their goals for the season (Big Ten championship and College Football Playoff), would be over. They may be less interested at that point...

Rutgers vs Wisconsin - Noon On Peacock

Especially since they could have held the Pac-12 minus UCLA/USC together for cheap. Getting 1-2 Colorado games in 2024 may have alone made any deal mutually profitable.

Greg Schiano: Rutgers football is closing in on a time when fans can ‘plan their holiday trips around our bowls’

I'm just talking objectively. A reasonable goal on a year in year out basis is to be around top 40. That's about what they should be recruiting to, and in turn what they should be playing to. That will get to a bowl most years. As for this year, moving to 60th would show a step in the right...

Football VIDEO: Rutgers Football HC Greg Schiano talks Thursday practice

The point is there's too few to develop at WR. This recruiting mistake will be an obstacle that has to be overcome for years.

Greg Schiano: Rutgers football is closing in on a time when fans can ‘plan their holiday trips around our bowls’

Rutgers should be no worse than about the 60th best team. 90th - 100th, as they were last year, was a step back. Had they been in that range last year, they would have won six or seven games. Rutgers has enough resources where it should not be the bottom rung of P5 teams, and should be above...

Greg Schiano: Rutgers football is closing in on a time when fans can ‘plan their holiday trips around our bowls’

Hobbs really didn't go all in with the contract. It was pretty well known at the time that he didn't want Schiano at the price that was available, but was more forced into it by donors and fans. This is not a situation where Hobbs staked his reputation on Schiano. In fact, it was more the...
