    Pretty much. Plus, he was getting Givens, Lee, Robey, Phillips. This is a good book and even better story. I thought I knew a lot about Larry Bird, but there was more in this book.

    I feel like Pope is attempting to have a collection of players where their agendas don't overwhelm the team goals. I feel like his first team was more like that than last year's team.

    While this is a personal matter, if I’m the Patriots, it’s a huge distraction fueled by social media imo. Becoming a perception and credibility issue as well. Vrabel will be on a short leash going forward. As a titans fan, starting to wonder if this played a part in his firing.

    And this is the environment that MP is now trying to operate in. Others are obviously doing it better than he is, but it's a totally different animal now. A GM is a very legitimate thing imo.

    MP will either succeed or he won't as UK coach, I'll be cheering for this year's team and its coach as I have for 50+ years. As for OP's 'letter' to MP, I think I'd prefer OP be banned. The 'letter' accomplishes nothing positive.

    I give credit to Pope for doing this. I agree, it may not be the greatest idea, but he has courage, is doing his best and he craves for the fan base to support him. I don't know how things will end up for MP at UK, but I still don't get piling on at all.

    I just don't get the piling on. He may not succeed here, but it gives me no pleasure, and I certainly don't root for it. I also don't think you can call him a failure at this point. Below standards? Yes, but we have made the tournament twice.

    This is true. Things did not really click for that team until Epps took over the PG job and Delk was moved to 2G. Epps was exactly what that team needed.
