    The 3-Point Takedown - Folkstyle's Sea Change

Great analysis. Definitely need more incentives for action. My two suggestions are (1) Quicker trigger on stall calls. Moving backwards is an auto stall. Going off the mat to defend a takedown is an auto stall. Edge wrestling is an auto stall. Holding center does not absolve a wrestler...

    Mitchell Mesenbrink amazement thread

How does he convert bad shots like nobody else? Especially early in matches before his opponent is tired. Is it simply long arms? Crazy grip strength? Is there more to the setups than meets the eye? I’ve never seen someone convert stuffed shots at a higher rate.

My thoughts on the Iowa performance this weekend.

I wouldn’t be more shocked about Rocco making the finals than any other 184 contender. Somehow the weight class is filled with low-scorers. Rocco, Angelo, Max, Ryder, Fishback, etc. All live and die with 3 attempt, 1 take down matches. Bizarre…

    Stilly boys documentary

Really impressive. I thought he sounded rehearsed and not super authentic in his opening press conference and interviews. Which is totally understandable. Seems like he’s really found his voice with his team and with the media. And it’s fantastic to preach a culture of accountability and...

Just HOW BAD was Franklin and O'Brien's coaching at the QB position?

Somehow the same coach who let McSorely and Clifford play backyard ball was completely stifling to Hackenberg and Allar. Yawn. At some point, for a multi-year starter, it’s on them. Anyone who’s watched football can tell that Hackenberg and Allar just weren’t instinctive players. Nothing any...

    2025-26 PSU MBB Thread

Not disagreeing b/c I haven’t watched much. But what has he done at PSU to make you think he’s a good coach? The games I’ve watched the last two years all look like a re-run no matter who the opponent. And the high trap with a big, lumbering back to the lane, having help defenders try to...

    Insider interview regarding 2025 season

We actually played two of the final 4 that you’re convinced would’ve “crushed us”. But, yeah, continue with your fantasy that Franklin was an evil person and a terrible coach and the culture of the team was rotten to the core.

    Insider interview regarding 2025 season

Was expecting to read something mildly noteworthy. This was just sour grapes from someone that thought they should play more. Every high school, college and NFL team has younger players who are convinced they’re better than the vets. Every workplace has people who are convinced they’re...

Hershey Mites hockey fight during Intermission

Anyone involved should be banished from youth sports. Totally irresponsible. Like every ‘play-fight’ ever, it starts light-hearted and predictably escalates out of control. Could easily have a skate blade incident, broken bone, concussion. and I say this as someone who’s played and coached...

Just don’t understand Rhodes’ D system. Maybe as a change up. But non stop hedge high, the offense easily reversed the ball and had uncontested corner 3 every other possession. Constantly giving up the 3rd most efficient shot in the game. Unless you’re 10 deep, you’re just burning out your...

    2025-26 PSU WBB Thread

Well 2 players out of an extremely diverse 400 former players felt discriminated against because the coach didn’t want them dating each other and bringing drama into the locker room. So obviously the program had to be burned to the ground. (If I’m wrong, it’s not by much.)

    War Daddy!

Franklin not having strong enough football principles and sticking with them through coordinators was his ultimate downfall. the D was havoc oriented and successful from Pry to Diaz to Allen (who sucked). The switch to Knowles and his read & react except when I blitz from Center field scheme...

Good Lord people make stuff up. Our culture was better than all but a handful of teams (by wins/losses) during franklins tenure. He always talked about competing as a core value and how he expected guys to recruit their replacements. This team didn’t quit when they easily could’ve. They went to...

Behavioral Economics is a major field because people aren’t robots and don’t use their money strictly according to risk adjusted discounted cash flows. There are endless examples of people investing Millions on organizations (university, clubs, religious institutions) with a return of “joy”.

Pretty fast to google Cuban’s comments on this. No specific amount but he said his investment is significant and ongoing. Motivation? He sold most of his stake in the Mavs. They froze him out of decisions including trading Luka. He said F* them and re-oriented towards building Indiana football...
