    I think that is absolutely more of a problem for his recruiting than "weirdness." A coach could probably eat his own toenails in front of recruits if they still thought he would make them a lottery pick

    Honestly that was my only gripe from the whole debacle. Not mad we didn't get him, mad we wasted time and effort on him in the first place. We could've had Rancik and N'Diaye if Pope wasn't tilting at windmills with Freeman

    They might have better PR if they just kept their mouths shut about whether they thought someone was committing or not. They build up expectations that a commitment is eminent and then they look like fools when it falls through. Like with Wright, I genuinely think he wanted to be back at BYU...
