Congrats to the Bobcats! Always seem to be there! And do well when there! Congrats to both teams! Another good one, I knew it would be! Represented the 1A West well!!
Congrats Blues! You ladies earned it! Lots of hard work to get to the top so enjoy it! Great season for the Maroons!! Proud of the West! Sounds like these two teams put on a show up there!
The old Region D made a little noise so far as well but my vote would be the old Region C as well. And I really am not too familiar with the old A and B.
I would love to make the trip to watch both 1A games because I think they will both be great games. Because the games are on Thursday I can't make it. I think the VHSL shooting themselves in the foot on these championship games during the week. Gates would be so much better if they were on the...
Sorry. Sounded that way but wasn't sayin they wouldn't compete. Just pointing out/confirming they were moving to 2A. And the 2A competition is indeed greater, no doubt. The 1A boys won't have to deal with then. I don't don't know what Radford has coming the next few years or many other 2A...
As far as Surry, after that Eastside game I would have thought PM would have easily beat them. Maybe I'm guilty of not giving Eastside enough credit and maybe Surry didnt play to their potential that game, I don't know.
This rematch will be interesting. If GW plays with the same intensity they did against Honaker I would have a hard time picking against them. Congrats to the Lady Tigers on a good season! Good luck GW and PM. Glad to see the West representing in 1A this year!!
Whoa!!! My ears are bleeding not just burning and I'm no Tornado but that's harsh! Observation no judgement... Heck of a season for the Blues... congrats... I think?
GW, PM, and Honaker all take care of business... #4 seed Eastside gave Surry County all they wanted!! I thought the West ladies would represent well! Congrats to all the teams on good seasons!
I was in no way saying you were incorrect with the info just to clarify, but I couldn't find an official seating capacity. You are probably absolutely correct, I was just saying it looks bigger than that. And all seats are stadium seating, so that definitely can be deceiving with the size of...
So, the Bearcat Den isn't anything as big as the Seigel Center obviously, but is very nice. Perception seems to be an issue people out here talk about in this gym every year as there is quite a bit of room between the goal and stands behind it. And I would have guessed it seated more than 2500...
