The Yankees need to do something about the left side of the infield. Offensively, those positions are just black holes. I’m not expecting the second coming of Jeter and ARod, but there needs to be upgrades.
The thing with Schlittler is how effortlessly he throws 100 mph. When Chapman came in, he was throwing 100 with maximum effort. Schlittler does it so easily.
When they said that Schlittler was the first pitcher in postseason history with 8 innings of shutout pitching, 12 strikeouts and no walks, the first thing I thought was that I couldn’t believe he did something Koufax and Gibson didn’t do.
