    Absolutely. I give credit to the coach for going on record for it and the reporter being bold enough to publicize the article. If most of what the coach said is true then I am super happy it got brought to light for the public to see.

    Any updates on this? I had read the part 1 article on the fallout from the Winston Salem Chronicle but I never saw part 2 get published and part 1 came out around Thanksgiving.

    Idk that we will see "conferences" anymore with the new plan. I think it goes to region play like they do in TN or VA.

    Congrats the MA on a job well done in 2022! Couldn't have happened to a better coach. Glad to see him get a ring. 2023 he has a dang good shot to add another and will be my pre season pick to win it all. Happy for these kids to see what im sure they have been dreaming about for years come true!

    This will be very interesting to watch for years to come. BM has won alot in Girls Basketball over the years and now brings in a head fb coach that could draw kids in. Buckle up the Villains may soon be living up to their name in football.

    I am not a fan of split conferences either. I do like the way TN does playoffs with Regions idk if NC would do that though.

    Region play will come into affect with the new 7A just like Tennessee has. It could make for some big travel nights at times. Some schools travel 2+ hours for a region game. Will make JV football nights long and those Tuesday Night basketball and baseball games hard to.

    My thing on all of this is just how many more situations are they like this across the state that this could potentially be the fire starter for more coaches to speak out on? I am not in anyway accusing or saying its going on anywhere else im just speculating how this could change the landscape...

    I watched the Game Saturday night and I wondered after that first drive what happened to him. Hate to see he got hurt. I also give alot of props to the NW coaches for the adjustments made at halftime because Watauga had NW dead in the water at halftime especially after the 102 yard pick 6...
