I don't believe the U.S. could fight another protracted world war that involves sacrifice by every America. We don't have the toughness, discipline or unity for it. Getting people to look away from their phones would be a challenge in and of itself.

    Quitting Smoking

I smoked for 30 years and quit 25 years ago. Haven't had a single cigarette in those 25 years. I used Zyban to help. It is doable, but you cannot give up. It also takes most people more than 1 try. Hang in there and good luck. It can be done.

Cleveland Guardians (Indians). Many people in Cleveland still believe that the 1995 World Series between Atlanta and Cleveland was rigged. Umps were calling strikes on pitches 6-8 inches off the corner.

CC/OT: How many HS Valedictorians is too many?

2 is too many. As a retired teacher, I can tell you a big factor in this. GRADE INFLATION. The better the grades a teacher gives out, the less grief they receive. I knew one guy who gave out all A's. Why? Parents thought he was great on top of the fact he was lazy. Grade inflation is going nuts...

FC/OT: Commencement speaker booed after praising AI as the next Industrial Revolution…

The Clinic is huge and still growing. Manufacturing is what has declined. I have lived in the area for 70 years. It is fine except for a few places, like any other city.

By far the biggest employer in northern Ohio is the Clevleland Clinic.

FC/OT: Commencement speaker booed after praising AI as the next Industrial Revolution…

AI is here to stay and will alter the world. Too much money invested and to be made. What will be good jobs? Electricians, plumbers, technicians, carpenters, basement waterproofers, etc. Look for traditional colleges to play a diminished role going forward.
