    That’s all tarheel is saying. West beats them soundly but should when it’s 900 kids to 300, and south probably beats them. But what they’ve had the last three years, it’s good to see them have some success, not matter who they play.

    Hindsight being 20/20, but you can't be surprised that a newspaper with the same namesake as the high school maybe biased toward the defending western regional champion 12-0 team vs the 9-3 team they just beat 3 weeks ago. But obviously that shouldn't be the sentiment now.

    I agree with you watchdog, the old blue ridge 1A teams do not want any part of being in the same conference as mount airy and east surry. By and large get thumped by them in every sport on a year to year basis. Why subject yourself to that when the current setup is more advantageous.
