    Crawford - Sioux County Co-op

Very unfortunate. In such a rural part of the state, you hate to see opportunities for kids taken away. Not a lot of options nearby up there!

    Crawford - Sioux County Co-op

Sioux County has less than 10 boys in grades 9-12. Not sure what Crawford's enrollment is but it is quite possible that they could still be under the 6-man number after a co-op.

    Head Football Positions

It appears Barry Swisher has stepped down at Sioux County and will be replaced by Trevor Ginkens from Hay Springs. Coaches for the West Nebraska All-Star game were released yesterday and Ginkens was listed from Sioux County in the press release. I know for sure Swisher is going to help coach at...

Basketball Weather Forceast Changing Some District Boys Finals Start Times

Coaches should have a pretty good idea who they might play in a district final going into subs. Not impossible to get film on the 2 or 3 strongest possibilites early to get a jump start on scout and game planning for each. I would imagine most coaches are doing this, especially ones that are...

    Burwell Basketball

Sioux Co. had a girls Bball co-op pretty much all lined up and their school board wavered at the 11th hour. They had enough to play VB but several girls are not participating in Bball. I believe only four girls wanted to do Bball this season.

Football Declarations for 2024-2025 Two-Year Cycle (Updated 11/30)

Bridgeport did see an influx of kids K-12 from Leyton and some from Bayard. Leyton dismissed their Sup. a couple of years ago and it caused a division within both communities (Dalton and Gurley), so some families sent their kids to Bridgeport. Leyton has declared six-man (as they should based on...

    WetBulb

Humidity from the grass makes sense. I've been on turf when it is hot out and the surface temp can get up there. Makes your feet feel like they are on fire. I hope all teams can find safe times to practice without having to sacrifice practice time!

    WetBulb

We've been using it everyday. It is super easy to set up and use. Links to an app on a mobile device. Fortunately we are located in the panhandle and do not have the humidity that the eastern schools have to contend with. We have gotten into the orange level a couple of times on days when it was...

Anyone seen the Pleasonton girls this season?

Leyton lacks size and depth. They have 13 or 14 on their roster but only suit up 7 or 8 for varsity games. They have a couple of players that are decent. Rely on their quickness and outside shooting. The games that they've struggled in were against teams that have size and that can match their...

Basketball Four Options on the Table for 2023 State Tournaments

I like option 3. Call me crazy but if you want to have consolation games play it out to 8th place or don't have them at all.
