I was there with a few other regular posters as well. It’s was a Wall Street money raising event and Pike was being introduced to people. Don’t really care if you believe me, but that was verbatim what he said. Hobbs was pumped about ash and his mini camp after Michigan was doing an NJ satellite...
I met Hobbs at an alumni event in nyc right after he hired ash. I asked him what happened with Schiano and if he was in the mix. Hobbs answer was that he offered him the job, but schiano was waiting to see if he was going to get he Miami gig. When Miami passed on Greg, he came back to Hobbs and...
Schiano was about to be a breakout success. Dont forget how his last recruiting class essentially helped flood look like an ok coach for 2 years. Let’s not also forget that it was Greg’s vision that has saquan Barkley committed to Rutgers before flood showed how bad he truly was and Franklin...
I can’t imagine how Hobbs can sit down and believe keeping ash vs. hiring a schiano, Davis or anyone with a pulse can yield a better ROI. Ash in year 4 should not be getting shut out like this anymore. He has failed, he needs to go. Hiring a real coach will
bring back some hope. We are Rutgers...
The saddest thing has to be ash and staff watching “the film” of this tomorrow. It’s pathetic. Deep down he must be hoping he just gets fired so he can move on, bank his money and apply to be Ohio state’s secondary coach.
Agree completely. Ash’s contract is a sunk cost, we unfortunately have to pay it regardless of when he is fired. He should not be allowed to board his flight home.
