“We’re young”. We’re always young. We will always be young. I’m old. Getting older. Doubtful I witness another NC unless Cal can say we have a good mix of veterans and youth. Oh well. Will still cheer for them but, watch them as much? Hard to watch UK basketball when effort is lacking.

Ive been a Cat fan since about 1957. Watched a lot and listened to a lot on radio. Guess I’ve been spoiled to expect more regardless of age. I’ve seen some pretty young players play very good basketball.
So, VT has better basketball players than UK does I suppose. No discipline, they appear lazy on defense, stand around on offense but thy continue to be allowed to stay in the game. Just how long does it take for such a “young team” to grow up?
Contenders is the word. Is that all we hope for. I just don’t believe we will ever win a NC with the players we now recruit unless some “quality” players with great leadership ability decide to forego the money and fame of the NBA for the experience of a NC.
