    The defense was that good before Beal arrived. He along with 2 other coaches made that defense what it was. Beal was Co coordinator with another coach.     Not sure how good the football is in Tennessee but most of us here never thought the football in the Volunteer state was that much better. Maybe I need to verse myself on Alcoa and the like. I'm surprised if that's the narrative.

    They lost 3 defensive coaches from that staff who could've been head coaches anywhere. Without disrespecting the current defensive staff it's glaring the lack of physicality, rallying to the football and secondary play.     If they get any kids from Winston it probably isn't our best players. Those kids usually transfer to East Forsyth, West Forsyth or Mt. Tabor.

It's sickening to see that because we've always held on to a solid D before we've ever had an O. We used to wonder would EF ever update the O and they did. Just didn't think our second time...

    You can make a case for that but another poster mentioned already this will be the best offense Weddington will have seen to date. It should be interesting. This is the Friday night you wish they had that NFL red zone thing for the NCHSAA 4th round going forward. šŸ˜†
