    2024-2025 WBB Team (2022-present)

A few thoughts: 1. Our team chemistry as a strength cannot be stressed enough. It starts in the recruit's living room with their parents, and continues with accountability in the gym and on the court. I don't think anyone makes it work as well as Dawn. Geno does a pretty good job of it, too. 2...

WBB don’t want to win this

We did enough to win. It wasn’t pretty. Nevertheless, we’re going to the Final Four. Sometimes you have to fight through adversity. We couldn’t hit the ocean from the outside, but we got offensive rebounds and tried again. You learn from these games. Let’s enjoy the fact that the journey...

Angel Reese Must Be Off Her Meds

There have been plenty of articles about our coach, and all have been largely positive. Does she have her detractors? Of course, mostly far right culture warriors who don’t like her unabashed support for fellow black female coaches, or don’t like that she keeps her players in the locker room...

    I stand corrected 😄

WOW!!! Poor Virginia Tech Men's Basketball Team: Lost all 5 starters to Portal & Graduation

My thought processes on this are a galaxy apart from modern day players. I attended the University of South Carolina to earn a degree to make myself more marketable for decent paying jobs. The players today who transfer to other schools, sometimes multiple times, are making little or any progress...

    2024-2025 WBB Team (2022-present)

My first memories of following WBB were when I was living in Virginia Beach in the late 70s/early 80s. Old Dominion, coached by Marianne Stanley, featured Nancy Lieberman and Anne Donovan. This was in the AIWA days. I also remember reading about LA Tech, coached by Leon Barrymore (sp?). Then...

    WBB Final Four teams

My predictions: South Carolina, Texas, LSU, and UConn. They all get there because they have elite coaches with experience in the Final Four. So does Stanford, but I’m not sure they can get by NC State. And I’d take Texas over both of them. NC State reminds me a lot like South Carolina, style...

    K Clark is allowed to

I agree with the OP's sentiments: Clark gets away with stuff lesser beings don't. Superstars get preferential treatment, in the NCAA, the NBA, the NFL, the NHL, and in MLB. Rich, influential people in all walks of life get preferential treatment. In the military, the rules for generals and...

OT: I-695 Bridge in Baltimore has collapsed after being struck by a large ship sending many into water

A few thoughts on this: 1. The news coverage has been terrible, with everyone wanting to find fault with whomever built or maintained the bridge. The bridge worked as designed. It was not designed to withstand a collision with a container ship that weighs in at approx 100,000 tons. Still...

    2024-2025 WBB Team (2022-present)

Upgrade? Yes... but Kitley and Amoore aren't coming with him. He'll be hitting the portal hard, but finding players who are willing to be coached and who are not necessarily worried about their own stats (like our Gamecocks) is a whole other thing. I wish him luck... except against us.

    2024-2025 WBB Team (2022-present)

I watched Vic for many years as the defensive guru of Gary Blair’s Texas A&M national championship team. Make no mistake… they won a natty largely on the toughness of his defense. He took the top job at Miss State and coached them to the final four. Never heard any bad things about him...

    Tessa Freakin Johnson

I think Tessa is the team’s most improved player… in her freshman year. She went from getting single digit minutes early in the year to getting 15+ minutes every game. We’ve seen her confidence grow in every area… driving the lane, taking a 3, making good passes. We knew Milaysia was going to be...
