Really enjoyed the EPL starting this past

I don't consider myself a "fan" by any means but I began keeping up with the EPL standings, er, table, last year. To the extent I have a team I follow, it's West Ham, but they got relegated. So, I guess I'm a Championship League follower now. lol. But all of that will have to wait until...

    Pro Bowl is history

I seem to remember shows like NBC's Sports World and ABC's Wide World of Sports featuring decathlon-type competitions between athletes across a variety of sports that would usually feature a few NFL players. Now, I guess a golf pro-am is about as risky as NFL players would get in the...

Can we blow out Kent State?

Couldn't we assume that would be the forecast once the date was announced?

    Ready for a beer.

Then I guess they'd have to be REALLY drunk to pay $13 for one.

Sam Darnold lost money for playing in Super Bowl

It looks like an AI bot resurrected a four month old thread on Tuesday morning and I guess we ran out of WNBA topics to discuss. :ROFLMAO: Anyway, college football season is just days away . . .

    Ready for a beer.

Maybe they are hoping fans come into the stadium drunk enough to pay $13 for a beer.

Gamecocks playing Week 0 in 2028

Please tell me we aren't giving up a home game to play in Ireland.

Those prices make doo doo ice look like a bargain.

SEC announces punishment for school's violating new professional sports rule

Does this mean Carolina basketball loses 50% of its operating budget and Paris is suspended for half the season because he signed 3 players from European pro leagues? Or do the new SEC rules specifically apply to the NFL and not other pro leagues?

Can we blow out Kent State?

As much as I would love for this game to be safely over at halftime, I could certainly see something like a 38 - 14 victory where we get a couple of late touchdowns to make the victory look bigger than it really was. I don't think an ugly performance in the first game is automatically a sign...

    Dolly Parton dies at 80.

I've been worried about her for a while now with the somewhat mysterious messages about her health. Very sad news.

    Bad sign for Clay Helton?

As I said, we don't have a crystal ball, so I don't think I assumed anything. Maybe it would have worked out to stay at LSU, maybe not. What we do know is that transferring didn't work out for him. Most of the time, it doesn't.

    Bad sign for Clay Helton?

Seven years. He must be in that joint MD/JD program.

    Bad sign for Clay Helton?

Most of us just call that "life." Had he stayed at LSU, he would have had to adjust once to Brian Kelly's new system, where he could have perhaps spent the next four years. He didn't have a crystal ball and neither do we, but with the benefit of hindsight, it's safe to say jumping to a new...

    Bad sign for Clay Helton?

I don't know how much money he collected from A&M and UNC, but his story certainly looks like one where the transfer portal hurt his career more than helped it (which, I'm sure is true the vast majority of the time). It's not like he wasn't getting quality playing time at LSU - he started 12...
