    I wouldn't get too wrapped on recruit rankings. They're nice guidelines but not all top 5 pfp recruits are the same.     I somewhat agree with this, I do think PSU prioritizes a certain body type (long arms for one) and that helps them identify a few guys like Levi Haines and Josh Barr (not that either guy was a low ranked kid) over maybe a similarly ranked kid that doesn't have the physical / mental attributes...

    The $54 question is how liberally was this allowed to be applied? Meaning, say your roster was 38 when the court ruling came down; were you allowed to only designate 8? or 11 potentials? or the entire roster? IDK the answer, and like most things, there are always loopholes on how this is applied.

    That was my understanding also. I've seen a couple of posts here lately about this issue and this board is the only place talking about roster limits. The way it was explained to me is any wrestler on a roster at a certain date was grandfathered in for the remainder of his time in college...
