Will Stein with a head coaching record of 4-1! .800 winning has to be one of the highest win rates of any NCAA coach

    Mitch Barnhart Settlement Agreement

Why can't people like him just ride off into the sunset? I worked for a university for 28 years. I got my unused vacation paid out. That was it. That's all any rank & file worker gets. What is the purpose of him hanging around for $800k/yr. Ridiculous.

Who will be the first P4 program to shutter or end athletics?

According to Google AI: Student fees account for a minimal portion—typically \(0\%\) to \(5\%\)—of athletic budgets for NCAA Power 4 conferences. Because these programs generate massive revenues through media rights, ticket sales, and booster contributions, relying on general student fees to...

Who will be the first P4 program to shutter or end athletics?

I wouldn't look so much at enrollments and the number of courses or majors available to determine the fate of athletics. Athletics function on TV contracts, sponsorships, and alumni donations. Those streams of money have little to do with the academic side of things.

The hatred for Cal is blinding some from seeing reality

This is really the issue. He made a bad contract with Cal (& Stoops). He was responsible for hiring Pope. He even tried to give himself a million dollar a year going away present.

They were definitely at Lake Beshear in the 80s. I remember dad using my little brother’s fishing pole to kill one that was coming towards the boat.

Matt Says Mitch Barnhardt deal to get ripped up in a day or two

From govsalaries.com: Mitchell Barnhart S in 2025 was employed at University of Kentucky and had a reported pay of $1,945,000, according to public records. This pay was 2,611 percent higher than the average and 3,400 percent higher than the median salary in University of Kentucky. That mofo...

Matt Jones says Stokes could announce today or tomorrow

I'd pass on this guy. He's indecisive.

Pope’s best move would be to go all in on Momcilovic if it’s possible. And Stokes is the better Freeman option.

A combination of players not wanting to play for Pope plus knowing that UK has relatively deep pockets has set us up for failure. Pope is making millionaires. Just a different way of doing it.

    Stokes reaction to Zoom signing

The reaction is meaningless. This board whips itself into a frenzy over some meaningless nonsense.

NCAA working on 5 year rule for athletes

I'd like to see eligibility capped at 5 years of enrollment with a max age of 24. Max of two transfers (that gives a max of 3 schools). No exceptions. Whether you play all 5 or claim injury and sit the season out, you're done at 5.

I wouldn’t worry about IU given the state of Kentucky basketball the last 10 years.
