    I turned 68 last month. The first time I remember really following the Cats I believe was 1968. That was about the time Dan Issel and Mike Pratt started. I also went to see them at Freedom Hall when they played for the Ky. Colonels along with Artis Gilmore.

    Retired less than a year ago. Just when I am able to travel they put on a travel ban. Just sitting at home looking at old ball games. I’m not supposed to go out now because I have a heart condition, am older than 65 and take a chemo shot once a month. I’m bored!!!

    My take on the officiating from being an official myself.

    I think that officials that are willing to do the same work for less money are either too incompetent to work in other conferences or are planning to make up the money difference in another way.

    One of the problems with officiating in the SEC is that they have driven the better officials away. One division 1 official I know said that he quit calling for the SEC because they are one of the lowest paying conferences. The SEC pretty much gets the officials that the other conferences do...

    What will it take to get a 1 seed for this team?

    Winning the SEC Tournament does not seem to make any difference. Remember when we beat Texas A&M but they were still seeded higher. I think with the SEC finals being on selection Sunday, it dose not help the winner at all.
