    Tulsa women make NIT

A home game would be fantastic. I attended about 10 of the women's games this season. I will go if the timing is right.

Tulsa World article on potential hires

In my opinion, the next TU Basketball coach should be young (around 40); a basketball lifer who played and was not necessarily a star in college. Someone who is now an assistant or maybe even a head coach at a smaller level college. Someone who has been successful and is hungry to take over a...

    Maddog

It has been my privilege to have personally known Mad Dog (Kenneth Penn) and Coach (David Bales) for many years. Mad Dog was a Professional Kick Boxer and a sparring partner for Dale "Appollo" Cook. He actually travelled to several foreign countries for the Kick Boxing. He later was a bouncer at...

Minnesota Vikings practices at Skelly Stadium

Jeff Jordan played for the Vikings in 1965-1967. The Vikings practiced in Tulsa around 1973 and 1974.

Minnesota Vikings practices at Skelly Stadium

I don't understand the questions. Yes, the Vikings had a TU connection. The Vikings General Manager in the early 1970s was Jim Finks. Finks played Quarterback at TU in the late 1940s and then with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1950s. The Vikings did not have an indoor practice facility in the...

Golden Hurricane players in Super Bowl

Like I stated above he has a lot of NFL and college experience. He has the credentials to be a head coach at a school like Tulsa.

Golden Hurricane players in Super Bowl

He has two Super Bowl rings, 2005 against the Seahawks and 2008 against the Arizona Cardinals. He has a lot more experience now than he did in 2000 and 2004. Besides the Steelers he has coached at places like UCLA. I think in 2005 he was a defensive quality coach, like an Assistant Assistant...

Golden Hurricane players in Super Bowl

I dug deep and found a few more Golden Hurricane Super Bowlers: Jeb Blount (Oakland Raiders); Al Jenkins (1972 Miami Dolphions); Kevin Lilly (San Francisco 49ers) and Lou Spanos (Assistant Coach Pittsburgh Steelers from 1995 to 2009--2005 and 2008 Super Bowls). Spanos is a guy with a lot of...

Protest - please skip Saturday's game

I have had Basketball season tickets since 1980. I have seen the heights and a few lows. I am a True Blue Alumni of the TU Law School. I like it when my team wins and competes. I am disappointed when my team does not win. I am not going to boo or stay at home. TU already has my money. I am a...

KES & Earley ineligible this semester

My undergraduate degree is from the University of Pittsburgh. I am proud to say that I have 5 credit hours in Squash, the Racquet game, not the vegetable. I also took a course in Jazz 80 (Pitt's numbering system equivalent to 101). I also have 14 credit hours of Spanish. I can speak it but I do...
