JMI Sports president explains partnership with Kentucky for NIL management

You use Primrose on that Sammich? I’ve smoked a few 5lb. Chubs of primrose for our tailgates.

JMI Sports president explains partnership with Kentucky for NIL management

I’m not gonna believe it’s a “Pope can’t close” thing with the JMI exclusivity clause out there. I think it’s wholly a JMI thing and it’s scaring kids off. Until enough stink is raised about that it’s going to fall into it being Popes fault. I hope Stein and his GM have answers for it.

JMI Sports president explains partnership with Kentucky for NIL management

Ok fine and dandy, but making a kid sign an exclusivity clause that prevents them from finding opportunities out from under the JMI umbrella is ludicrous. These kids need to be allowed other options if they are available or if their agents have other connections for them.

JQ has been trying to get Pope to let him play since September

MSU, UofL and Zaga, JQ wouldn’t have been the difference. Maybe we keep it closer in those games though. UNC on the other hand, was a much closer game where JQ would or could have been the difference between a win or a loss.

    Pope ditching analytics?

We have some good shooter who just aren’t getting the looks they did last year when the offense was run much better. But there is a big drop off after Noah and Chandler. Williams is supposed to be good, so is Jelavich, Oweh is capable if he gets open looks. But none of them are getting the kind...

    Pope ditching analytics?

He’s at the point that he has to play the guys who are bringing the energy and desire to win. I was glad he benched Garrison. It lit a fuse under him for the IU game. It sent a message to the rest of them too. Put whatever petty differences they have aside and start acting like a team. Everybody...

Epic pic of effort and determination

Mo had a very good game and showed something we’ve been missing while he was out. But as maligned as Garrison has been, he actually showed out and responded to his benching positively. He had a great game himself. Now can he bring that game in and game out? I hope so.

Anyone else think there's more going on with Mo?

Mo back tonight and playing well. Also not acting like there’s any bad blood with Oweh. They’re interacting like teammates should. Yeah the team has had some chemistry and energy issues, but they seem to be coming together now. I think the rumors were just that.

    0 returning players for Indiana

So they were in the same situation we were last year, yet we managed to win 8 games against top ten teams. Most in history. Thats no longer an issue in the portal era.

    Brandon Garrison

Thanks, I remembered it being announced that the Reece Potter was redshirting, but wasn't aware Hawthorne was too.

    Brandon Garrison

Just curious, Is Braydon Hawthorne redshirting this year? Otherwise, why not throw him out there, I feel like he would play with some heart, see what the kid has.

If true, Pope being done playing Mr. Nice guy might be a good thing.

Aberdeen & Jasper Speak on Gonzaga Loss

First question to Aberdeen should be "Do you need contacts or glasses or something?" or "Have you had your vision checked recently?" That's too many airballs to be coming from a kid that's made it this far in the sport.

    Lowe could play Friday

Gonna guess he needs some type of surgical repair, but is trying to see if he can play through it and get it fixed in the off season. Have to think if he goes down again, they just shut him down and get it fixed properly and try to ready him for next season. See if he can get a medical redshirt...

    Georgetown is losing

Why should this team not be ready for a road environment like UofL? Makes no sense. Oweh, Chandler, Noah and Garrison were returning players who all played in raucous road environments before. Aberdeen played for a National Championship and in front of plenty of road crowds in his time at...
