Staff struck out in the portal two years in a row. Previous years we did ok with transfers. Staff also didn’t develop multiple players like Cliff or Mag offensively. I like a defensive first approach. Keeps a team with less talent in the game. I hope Pike turns it around.
There are ways to avoid a lazy player. Make the deal performance based. Everyone loves upside. Could be statistical or team based bonus on number of wins. Have a clause where either party can have a buyout. Plenty of lawyers on this site can figure that out.
Lathan doesn’t fit Pike’s system of a defensive rebounding big. Hes only a freshman, and I hope he comes back, but I wouldn’t throw a ton of money at him.
Our centers come out and set picks for Harper who gets double teamed often. Need more pick and rolls to the centers. Get them in the game offensively. Somerville is good offensively and Ogbole deserves a couple of touches to keep the defense honest
