OT.Crazest things you've seen at a show or concert.

I went to one of the Pearl Jam shows when they were closing the Spectrum (so 2009). A woman in my section complained to the ushers that someone was lighting up a section over and got them to make the smokers put it out.

It's official: Rutgers got a lousy deal from the Big Ten | Politi

Honestly, I think you're underestimating Rutgers a bit here. The first thing Delany had to do was to show all the universities presidents the money. If he could show that by adding Rutgers and Maryland he would increase each school's yearly payout then they would at least listen. While most...

OT - what's your credit score and why?

FYI, a lot of companies now check your credit score/credit history as part of a background check. Usually, it's not a problem unless you have a really bad score - so if you're working in accounting a score below 600 may preclude you form getting the job. I believe some states have stopped...

OT- Is Uber X now allowed Newark Airport pickups ?

In March I took an Uber to and from Newark airport. There was some surge pricing but it was less that $60 to Parsippany. I think I've taken the taxi once and it around $60 (including tip) and that was some time ago.

    OT: Miami Trip Recs

Also, while in South Beach/Miami Beach, check your bill before you leave your tip. Almost all of the bars/restaurants put in a service charge (regardless of party size), so you don't need to tip, unless you feel you want to give more. I never encountered that because the service sucked at the...

    New Michigan weight room

This was all done with donations. BTW, the Oosterbaan Field House (the one they are renovating) is the older covered practice facility. So they have two covered practice facilities. It's obscene, but this is what happens when you have a successful program and rich alums who are willing to...

    Chris Partridge

I have no idea how "good" a recruiter Partridge is - although someone in the "know" seems to think he is. I'd also like to add the Michigan DC (Don Brown) has a lot of ties to the northeast, although he's only been on staff one season.

    OT Rutgers Business School

I got my MBA in SCM from RBS. I get bored easily so I like it fine because it encompasses so much you can always go to a different aspect of it (logistics, transportation, planning, inventory management, etc.) relatively easily if you want. It will always be an in demand job, but finance and...

OT: New Jersey Delis Make the Best Subs

Mia Famiglia in Milburn. Tutto Fresco is pretty good and Esposito's East Hanover is great value, but Mia Famiglia is my favorite Italian deli. All their prepared food is great. Milburn Deli is a very good "traditional" deli.

    Transfers within a school "system"

This is a different sport, but Duncan Robinson transferred from D-III Williams College to Michigan and had to sit out a year.

    Wow Michigan fans

I haven't been to a Walmart in a while, and when I have gone in, I don't look at the clothing, but I highly doubt the Walmarts in NJ carry Wolverines gear.

    Paterno thread (merged)

A question for you all, when did the payout for the 1971 incident(s) occur? If it happened with all the others then it is conceivable (i consider it unlikely) that Paterno didn't know about those incidents. However, in 2002, Paterno knew something was going on because he said so in his own...

RU, OSU, Temple to Hold Camp

How are FDU's facilities vs. PC? Distance could be a factor as to which players choose to attend which camp, along with cost. Top recruits are going to get the headlines but the camps benefit the lower-profile players the most. It would then make sense to have a range of schools. The...

    OT Best Undergrad Business Schools

I know the graduate program is combined Newark/NB you can take classes on either campus. I believe undergrad is separate.

    OT: TV purchase suggestions

I agree with most of the posters - you don't need a "smart" TV, a Roku, Apple TV, Amazon fire, Playstation, etc. are better than any sort of built-in features on a TV. However, larger TV, especially higher-end ones, almost always have that built-in. My suggestion is to get a cheap 4K TV with...
