So since Marist has their 2026 schedule finalized we'd start with them
Tough schedule - the Simeon game will determine if they make the playoffs or not - I see them 3-6 or 2-7 (still amazed a 3-6 gets you in the playoffs)
Decent upcoming Soph team
Good returning TE (Corona) and RB (Hunt) and...
Yeah that was an odd call - this year they could maybe pull out a 5-4 but I am thinking 4-5. They will be looking for a QB (so whoever loses the MC battle perhaps) - they are now a hoops school with their nice 4A championship and 2 new hoops kids coming in from CPL. So maybe football not big...
I like the Senior to be QB for Rice - he's gotten some decent reps as Soph and Junior along the way. The incoming Frosh is very good (and the Soph to be is super solid too), but I think Rocco guides the team
Possible one conference has the pre-season 1-2-3 to kick off the Sun Times, Trib and Shaw polls?
Each team has at least 10 kids with FBS offers (MC I think has 17 on roster).
This could be the biggest Rice OL its had ever - bookend OTs both 6'5 and each 285 plus. Both with a good number of FBS and FCS offers. Interior OL will be Frazier and most likely 2 Jrs. TE McNamara is a big kid too. So should be fun to see MC at Rice this year. Hopefully we can get some...
I'm hoping Rice isnt pullibg a Loyola Academy 2025 debacle and waiting to fill out schedule? Last checked they had two openings? Any word? Although the more I think about it - with expanded everyone gets a trophy approach Rice could still play 8 regular season games and most likely still get...
Can't see them doing better than 5-4, possible 4-5 and perhaps even 3-6 if they don't stay healthy. But even at 3-6 they'll make playoffs. I don't think Marist has ever beaten MC in football - that streak will continue
