Missouri transfer forward Jordan Butler commits to South Carolina

What is his skill set? Seems to be a marginal player (at least statistically). Though he had great offers out of high school - could still just be young. Tough for a skinny "big" - a 21 year old will always push around an 18 or 19 year old.

Lots of fuss being made over Clark's WNBA salary

Clark will be a great opportunity to see if a professional women's league is really viable to a mass viewing audience. March Madness is one thing - a relatively unknown WNBA season is another (seriously, I don't know when they play). If she can keep bombing threes like Steph Curry though - I...

    Journalistic Integrity Exposed

So all it takes is one reporter, from any news organization, to give their opinion and that is the absolute truth? (As long as that opinion rips down that particular organization of course.)

    Cam Is a Gamecock!

Expectations should definitely be tempered. It's better for everyone that way, including Cam. Freshman take time to adjust, no matter the freshman. Let the game come to him (and let the more experienced guys take the burden at first), and he could be a real contributor next season (to the...

    Journalistic Integrity Exposed

Yall can argue liberal or conservative, but dude isn’t a whistleblower - he gave a personal opinion based on his experiences. He didn’t expose anything - he just gave an opinion. It also sounds like he could have continued to work there, but he resigned. And posted his resignation letter on...

Staying home! Lexington's Cam Scott, state's top prospect, commits to South Carolina

Great pickup. The great season is already paying dividends (which didn’t seem to happen with other coaches). Still more work to do obviously, but there are signs of life!

    Ryan Montgomery

Of course Bama and UGA don't worry about getting players in the portal. They have always been able to recruit blue chippers at every position, and they still can. But, the portal actually helps teams like USC - especially at QB. USC has always gotten nicely-rated QB's, but they were projects...

No realistic quality 2025 QB recruits

Recruiting high school QB’s is always a crapshoot anyway. If USC has dedicated enough money to the position, then going in the portal and grabbing a kid with college experience is always better.

    Do you agree or disagree?

Disagree. You’re paying for the experience - wins and losses are just outcomes.

Ouch! Drew turns down UK to remain at Baylor

Actually, thinking about it now, I do think that his name would have been brought up by the media, but still don't think he'd be a serious candidate on the Auburn campus. These media list just throw anyone out there that has even a little connection to a school. The fact that he's at a Power 4...

Ouch! Drew turns down UK to remain at Baylor

Probably not. I don't think he'd even be written about by sportswriters as a potential candidate.

Ouch! Drew turns down UK to remain at Baylor

Let's hope this goes down in the long line of former players that only got their great jobs because they were alums. I'm thinking Mike Shula at Bama, Matt Doherty at unc, Kenny Payne at Louisville and any others where they'd have no shot at the job if they didn't play there.

Ouch! Drew turns down UK to remain at Baylor

They are still very much a blue blood and one of the top 3 jobs in the country. But a coach isn't going to leave a school where they've already won a national championship. The whole reason to go to Kentucky is because you have everything you need to win one. If you already have one then...

Do You Want A New Apparel Provider For SC When The Under Armour Deal Ends?

That's the issue with Nike - they don't pay out and their customer service for the department is atrocious. Nike believes that schools are lucky to wear their gear. UA pays a lot, because that's what you have to do to overcome the strangle hold Nike has. Adidas is stradling the line. They...
