Hi, I can't tell you how much I've found myself agreeing with your beliefs from a social, political and world view point, it's almost uncanny!! I can recognize your posts as I read them before I look. It's just really strange to me that we seem so aligned in our thinking..... LOL
You know the only reason the 92 Duke game has taken on legendary status is because Laettner made that shot. He misses and only ones that would think much of that game would be UK and Duke fans. Not sure UK wins a title that year anyway, although it was a heart breaker.

I know this doesn't speak to OP question but watching this first half of IU & Purdue must have set College BB back about 80 years. LOL Poor ball handling, poor decision making, poor passing, bad rebounding, bad defense and the shooting!! oh the shooting!!!
As a little side note on Issel he is #11 on all time scoring list when NBA and ABA are combined. The all time scorer in ABA is Louie Dampier a great player at UK.
Anyone who has played a fair amount of BB on any level knows a "dick" move on the court when they see it. What he's doing are dick moves. I suspect it is ingrained in his BB instincts/DNA probably from an early age when he was trying to keep up with the bigger boys and he didn't get corrected...
