    Who replaces Baker?

Exactly. Last year we started getting better when we lost Quade because it allowed others to find their roles and develop more. Sometimes too much depth is actually detrimental. And most of the time you're 4th guard isn't good enough to carry you through if your top guys get injured. If a...

    Who replaces Baker?

And to add on to that post. In 14 the Harrison twins were the only 2 guards. And we only went 8 deep total. Poythress 18 mpg, Dakari 14, and Lee 6 off the bench. The '16 team had 4 guards. Ulis, Murray, Hawkins, and Briscoe, but Briscoe played SF and Hawkins played 9 minutes. Murray and...

    Who replaces Baker?

Disagree. Three is plenty (and I would assume perhaps Whitney can play some SG in a pinch). Our 2012 title team really only had 2 "guards". Teague and Lamb. That team only went 7 deep total. Miller played 26 mpg and Wiltjer 11. The 8th guy was Vargas at 6 mpg. You don't need to be 10...

IF YOU STILL COMPLAIN ABOUT ONE/DONE AFTER 10yrs, YOU ARE A _______

In our title in 2012 we started 3 freshmen and 2 sophomores, and the freshmen led us in minutes played. MKG started 39 games, and AD and Teague started all 40. Jones started 34 and Lamb 35. So, we actually did win a title with a team that started mainly freshmen.

    New 2019 Starting Line Up

Hagans (Quick) Maxey (Quick) Whitney (Brooks-Allen) EJ (Sestina) Richards (EJ) If we got Blackshear I would have him starting at C and Richards backing him up.

Per Cal PJ stl recovering from surgery

Haha. Cal is full of it. It was a finger surgery and it was a while ago. He's medically cleared to play. I played ball with broken fingers and broken toes at various times. This is absolute nonsense. And a finger doesn't affect your effort, which is hasn't been there at all. Or mentally...

    Leading Scorer?

Tough one, cause I see several guys averaging around the same ppg. I voted PJ just because I think he'll log the most minutes. Keldon might log the 2nd most. Think Herro is the best "scorer" though.

Based on what you saw name your starting 5

Well, if you have some large drop off I guess it can hurt a little bit at the beginning of the game. But even then, usually when a guy that is lesser starts (like Cal did with Richards last year) they are yanked 2 minutes in and it only impacts about 3-4 possessions which aren't going to put...

Based on what you saw name your starting 5

No clue right now. I see a lot of kids that aren't separated by much. Talented and deep without any real superstars imo. I would say PJ is the only player I'm confident is part of our best 5 right now. I have some guys that I like a lot and could project but it would just be guesswork this...

Jason McIntyre: Top 50 College Basketball Players. Only 1 from UK

Yeah, that he listed him as the only other KY player shows this is a guy that doesn't know much. Had the SEC POY last year at like 48th, and Ethan Happ at 47th. Didn't even have Tremont Waters listed in the top 50. It's really amazing that there are people that get paid to write about stuff...

SGA has 15 points in the 3rd

Or have 25 pts, 5 reb, 4 asst, 2 stl, 1 block, on 2 TO and over 50% shooting. :)

    Hagans practice sessions tweet

Do you realize that you're saying that Hagans will be a better distributor than a 1st team AA, SEC POY, whose best asset was running the show like a coach on the floor? KY fans have a tendency to do this though. The next guy is always better than the previous ones.

    Hagans practice sessions tweet

He won't sniff 9 assists a game. When Ulis averaged 7 per game, he did so playing 38 minutes a game and basically never coming out. I'm expecting Hagans to be something along the lines of 25 mpg and about 4-5 apg. And there is a double edge sword to having a deep talented team. This team...

Pretty hard to imagine a better distributor than Ulis.

Lol wut? He's a "much better" player than Fox? C'mon man. Fox was and is a beast. Fox had a great midrange jumper, he merely wasn't good from 3. Hagans shooting isn't his strength. And while I agree Fox would get beat off the dribble some, and wasn't a great defender, he also was better...
