I believe he can choose what eligibility rules he follows. So yes he could do a redshirt but then he would only have 3 years left. He will have the same amount of years left regardless so I don’t really see a reason for him to opt into the old rules.

Well yeah. Sorry I was talking purely from a career perspective. And I wouldn’t so sure about MMA not touching him. The UFC has a guy who is way less talented than AJ and has been arrested like 12 times and is part of a gang and they’ve still kept him around. And then of course there’s Jon Jones.

Yeah there’s no way. He was having trouble finding a school before this whole incident. The best thing for him to do is move on to MMA or something.

Holman, Hodgins and Romero are class of 27. There’s also a good chance we don’t see Holman until maybe 2029 or so since he is Mormon and will probably go on a missions trip.

If you’re going to be very public with your faith (nothing wrong with that btw) you should be prepared for at least some public accountability. Especially when you mess up as bad as he did.
