Like the NFL, SEC needs to make blanket policies on open practices, injuries, and interviews

Like the NFL, SEC needs to make blanket policies on open practices, injuries, and interviews I know that doesn't really matter, but it makes me question how much people know about the subject when they can't even get the name of the law right.

    Memphis Commercial Appeal Sports

Sounds believable, but I'd be curious about a source.

    OT Memphis

Little Rock is about half the size of Memphis, and may be a nice city, but it's not really a fair comparison to Memphis. Also, property taxes in Memphis, while still higher than I'd like, have been decreasing the last few years. Yes, Memphis has its problems, and you should be aware of them,but...

    OT Memphis

I realized most of the posts here have been regarding where to live, less about what to do, etc. that you asked about. There are lots of great options of places to eat in Downtown, Midtown, East Memphis, Germantown, and Collierville. I think the highest concentration is probably downtown...

    OT Memphis

East Memphisgenerally (and High Point Terrace specifically)are great options. Close to a lot of things, and an easy commute for your wife. Schools can be a draw back in this area, but there are some good public options. It's also a nice compromise between city and suburb in that there are some...

    Update: Street painting has begun

the design is a little weird and out of place, but it looks far less bad in these pictures than it did in the original picture posted.

    Off topic: Vacation to NYC

Resto has probably the best burger I've ever had, and a very nice beer list with a wide variety of hard to find (at least in the States) beers. <div> </div><div>There's an outdoor rooftop bar at 230 Fifth called, appropriately enough, 230 Fifth. It has great views of the Empire State Building...

What. The. 17. Starkville Board of Aldermen?

I guess it goes nicely with the Hunter Henry Center. Also, are Junior High students really painting it? If so, can you really call it street art?

Steven Gendron is pulling no punches on Twitter about Cohen...

I'm guessing he interviewed for a job at State, and Cohen didn't hire him. I don't have any knowledge of that, but it seems like he's justmaking up reasons to be angry at Cohen, and that there's some sort of personal anger toward him.

Does anyone know what set Hood off?

the geniuses showing the game on TV failed to show a replay of either the original foul call (which looked to me from the one time I saw it to be a bad call) or what Hood did following the call.<div> </div><div>Perhaps it's just because I haven't watched a lot of that regional broadcast this...

Regarding Marcello's blog post about our self-reported violations...

My guess is that the beat writers have more flexibility what to post about than they have about what articles to write. The fact that the UM beat writer hasn't blogged about itmightmean he's slower at blogging, still waiting on the information from UM, or lazier than Marcello. I don't see the...

Clarion Ledger soon to be behind a pay wall...

I also actually enjoy sitting down to read the Sunday paper as well. I just use the coupons to justify the cost to myself. Usually we basically break even on coupons, I think.</p>

Clarion Ledger soon to be behind a pay wall...

I don't know how the numbers have worked out for them, but I think it the way they're trying to do it makes sense. You still get 10 or so free articles per week/month (don't remember which) if you don't subscribe to home delivery. Or, you can subscribe to home delivery and get all the internet...

Sugarland is a BRILLIANT idea, here's why..

but I suspect you're not. I just don't think this is going to draw people who have no view about State. It might draw in different people, but I think it will be people who already have an opinion about MSU, and I don't think going to a concert at a school you're already familiar with is going...

Sugarland is a BRILLIANT idea, here's why..

I just don't see this concert as being a huge draw from people who aren't already exposed to State through other means. I guess it might draw in some people who wouldn't normally to go the practice, but I think it'll keep a similar number away. I enjoy going to the spring "game" for a little...
