That said, I don’t want him back. Those reunion hires almost never work out the way people hope.

Would love to see the revenue breakdown for both the school and the city—specifically the difference between a football weekend and a baseball weekend. Obviously, baseball draws fewer per game, but over a full weekend, the total attendance probably isn’t that far off.

I don’t think the question is who you’d replace him with—there are plenty of good coaches at smaller programs (just look at A&M). The real question is whether you can afford to keep someone at that salary who’s trending in this direction. He hasn’t shown the ability to develop talent or recruit...
