    If a team can't pull a scholarship - and I believe that is correct for the Big Ten and perhaps all of Div 1 - why are so many players leaving NU and other programs? They either all think they can get a bag, want more playing time, aren't in love with the coaching staff or their girl friend...

    Because the revenue share amount is limited per agreement. Each sport is getting whatever is budgeted and at least for the Big Ten the $20 mil nut is already covered. So an additional few million coming in should in theory have no impact on revenue share payments. No doubt there are violators.
